The ASU is very concerned about YSAS giving staff very little notice of shut-downs and forced leave over the holiday period, at Withdrawal Units in Geelong, Fitzroy and Glen Iris.

Your ASU Officials and Delegates have been in contact with management to express multiple concerns with this rushed decision and to push them to rethink the planned shut-downs and forced leave. YSAS Management says they made this decision as an attempt to improve staff wellbeing, but ASU Members say this is having the opposite effect, with many reporting that they are very stressed about having no leave available to use over this period.

We’re currently waiting for Management to get back to us today or tomorrow. We’ll keep you posted on how that goes.

What can you do to help?
