At our meeting on April 22, members raised a number of issues. We have raised them on your behalf as requested and have been provided with the following responses:

Uniform entitlements not the same as the day shift. For example, the same number of uniforms being provided/need replacement or with approval/reimbursement timeframes. Are you able to investigate this please and or provide a policy or process?
Uniform for day and night crews remain the same- Council does not believe there are any outstanding matters. If there is anything needed, then staff should approach the Team Leader and Coordinator in the first instance.

How does the $25 telephone allowance work as no one really understands who is entitled to receive it or how to apply for it as there seems to be some staff that receive it and some that don’t. Can you shed any light or provide a policy, please?
This allowance has been investigated and it will be removed as Officers have access to telephone and messaging via the handheld device. Mgt will be advising the relevant officers in due course.

Are they allowed to use Google Maps on their Pin Force device? Is there a policy or procedure for these devices?
There is a maps section within the handheld devices, and this is being demonstrated to all staff.

There have been no Team Meetings held and we have been told this is the same in the day shift crew. We asked for a schedule to be set up for both teams as this will also help resolve some of the above issues going forward.

Team meetings are being reinstituted and will be occurring regularly on an ongoing basis.
