With the sudden lockdown again casuals at Yarra libraries have once again lost shifts without pay.

The ASU will be holding a meeting via Microsoft teams to discuss the recent decision from Yarra City Council to not pay any further shifts to casual workers during the snap lockdown.

Yesterday the ASU sent a letter to the CEO and Councillors in response to the non-payment of shifts as per the roster during the snap lockdown, we also requested to start discussions about causal conversion. You can download the letter here.

The ASU is only able to assist members – if you know someone who needs to join please send this email to them and they can join our union by clicking on the link here https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
