Over the last few weeks, your ASU bargaining team have been hard at work drafting the enterprise agreement. At our last ASU Members meeting, members voted to accept a ‘roll over’ offer will provide a 2% pay increase or $35, whichever is greater to be payable from the first pay in July 2022.

The new proposed EA can be downloaded here. You will see that it has lots of changes from the last version. ASU delegates have undergone a consolidation process with management in which the Part B Award has been incorporated into Part A of the Agreement.

Despite the changes, your rights have not changed. Your ASU official and delegates have closely scrutinised every change to ensure your rights are protected. If we have missed anything, we have also secured a ‘savings provision’ that guarantees your rights under the previous enterprise agreement.

ASU Members meeting – tomorrow at 3pm

We will be holding an online ASU Members meeting tomorrow at 3pm via Teams to discuss and vote on whether to accept this document. We encourage members to read the document and bring any feedback to this meeting.

You can join the meeting via the following link: Click here to join the meeting

We will also be holding on site meetings at the RDF and Depot early next week. Your ASU delegates Dan and Peter will contact you about the details of these meetings.

Key dates

Once ASU Members have endorsed the draft document, the formal process to endorse the EA will commence. The formal ‘access period’ will commence on Friday 17 June to Sunday 26 June. The Enterprise Agreement will then be put to a vote of staff between Monday 27 June and Thursday 30 June. If that vote is successful, the pay increase will then be paid on 2 July.
