As you are aware, the WRRG’s have just commenced the formal access period for the approval of the enterprise agreement. During this period, the employer is legally required to provide you with information about the enterprise agreement and key changes being made.
Next week, you will have an opportunity to vote on the enterprise agreement with voting open from 18 March to 21 March. For an enterprise agreement to be approved by the Fair Work Commission, it must be supported by a majority vote of employees.
We encourage ASU members to vote and to vote yes.
ASU members met late last year to endorse this agreement after many months of sometimes tense negotiations about pay increases and transmission of business into the new entity.
As a reminder the enterprise agreement will provide you with a 1% wage increase back dated to 1 January 2022 and a further 1% increase on 1 April. It will also provide a ‘Retention Bonus’ with a lump sum of 2% of your annual base salary to be paid on 30 June 2022 for those employees who remained employed for the preceding 6 months.
