The ASU visited City of Wodonga City yesterday to put on a BBQ lunch for depot members and morning tea at the council shire offices.

Members were happy to catch up and talk about some important issues in their workplaces and in local government.

The ASU briefed members on the ASU’s rate capping campaign, updated members on the most recent enterprise agreement updates and even joined up 3 new members.

Increasing the membership density and putting members in a stronger negotiating position is the focus this year.

ASU Delegates are the essential link between ASU members at each workplace and the broader union. Effective delegates can identify issues and provide information to officials of our union to make sure members’ rights and conditions are protected.

If you are interested in stepping up and being more involved in your union why not become a delegate?
