Last week we got the good news that a majority of employees at Wodonga voted no to the unacceptable Council EA offer.
It is great to see members and staff wanting a better deal for themselves and others at the workplace. Congratulations on the efforts of our ASU delegates and members in getting that message of “you deserve better’ out there.
It is now time to get Council back to the negotiating table to get a fair deal. Our position is a fair one: a 2-year rollover agreement and a quantum increase of 2% or $25, whichever is greater.

It is important, now more than ever to be a part of your work community and join the ASU! It is only by being strong and united as one that we will get Council back to the negotiating table and advance our pay and conditions. We know the majority of workers at Wodonga are on our side.
Next steps
To get Council back to the table, we may need to take Protected Industrial Action. The ASU will be in touch with your delegates to arrange meetings to discuss whether to take Protected Industrial Action and discuss ideas about what types of action we want to take. Stay tuned for updates on when these meetings are scheduled.
