The ASU has formally lodged a dispute as per clause 5 of the EA, this is in regard to the GPS/Trackers devices which Council is proposing and are going to be fitted to a number of selected Whittlesea City Council Vehicles operated by ASU members.

The ASU has also formally notified Council the intent of Clause 4 of the EA: Consultation, whereby Council is to notify: where Council has made a definitive proposal to introduce major Change; this includes changes in technology and other matters.

The ASU also formally requested as part of clause 5 Dispute Resolution, clause 5.1 Prevention and settlement of Disputes that there are no changes in technology or the fitting of  GPS/Trackers devices to a number of selected Whittlesea City Council Vehicles operated by ASU members until we get the matter and our concerns resolved.

ASU officials and your ASU Delegates will be meeting late January to discuss the matter further with Council Management.

ASU have requested a paid mass meeting with members after the above meeting to give report back to all members.

Please circulate this newsletter to all other staff members and put on your notice boards and in your lunch rooms and encourage non-members to join their union.
