Hundreds of VicRoads staff and customers have repeatedly been put at risk by VicRoads dismissal of serious OH&S concerns.
These concerns have been borne out with positive cases of Covid-19 at the Geelong and Sunshine.
The ASU has been by members side in an effort to reduce the risk of transmission at a VicRoads site.
But VicRoads has been too slow off the mark.
VicRoads should have acted months ago when the Australian Services Union first raised the need for sneeze guards and other measured to reduce risk.
Supermarkets and fast-food restaurants had had sneeze guards for months.
VicRoads management has further risked the spread of the coronavirus by its dismissal of concerns and delays in responding.
Our union will keep pushing for safe working conditions at every VicRoads site across the state.
