ASU delegates Andrea, Ben, Shane and Travis and Organiser Lorraine have been meeting with Ventia representatives fortnightly to progress Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations.

Unfortunately, Ventia has not shifted on their wages offer of 2% for 2021 and 2% for 2022.  They have altered their back pay offer also, which is a sign-on bonus worked out as 2% from 1 April to 1 October, with Overtime being calculated based on the average hours of the 5 highest individuals who worked Overtime, plus allowances.

We put forward improvements to the redeployment and redundancy provisions and haven’t heard back regarding these. In light of no response, we take it that they have not agreed to include any of these provisions.

We have reiterated staff aren’t supportive of a 2% wage increase however they are sticking firm with this offer.

Current Offer;

  • Pay increases of 2% payable 1/10/2021 and 1/10/2022
  • Sign-on in line with table
  • No improvements to redundancy and redeployment clause
