Sadly, just prior to Christmas, long standing ASU member Michele Forsberg from City of Hobart unexpectedly passed away.
Michele was one of Tasmania’s longest serving ASU members, having joined the union in 1976 when she first started work at Hobart City Council.
Michele was the longest serving woman at City of Hobart, having worked there for more than 45 years.
A very highly respected colleague and friend to many, Michele will be remembered for her compassion and selflessness.
ASU Branch Secretary Lisa Darmanin and ASU Branch Executive President Billy King, together with all of us at the ASU, extend our deepest sympathy and support to Michele’s family, friends and work colleagues. Michele will be greatly missed.
