The ASU has been advised by members that Latrobe Community Health Service is proposing a major change to your current classification levels, remuneration and incremental advances using a competency-based assessment process.

The ASU asks members to provide feedback on this proposed change. We are communicating with your employer as they have not provided us with a notification and the consultation period is too short and ends today.

The ASU is calling a meeting of all interested staff to discuss this at a meeting this Thursday.

In February 2021, a benchmarking project was conducted, and it is proposed that classifications and remuneration will be aligned to the relevant classification outlined in the project. It is unclear what the findings were or what the exact changes to classifications and remuneration will be.

Your employer is proposing to stop automatic progression through pay points by introducing a Behaviour Health Program Competency Framework. If this change comes into effect, you will not progress through each pay point within your classification level. Progress will depend on demonstrating competencies in key areas in addition to your Annual Performance Review.
