This is a message for ex-Western Water workers:
The ASU recommends you hold off on voting on the ballot while clarification is sought regarding RDOs
ASU Members at Greater Western Water who came from Western Water are aware that there is a ballot underway regarding the change from the Western Water Enterprise Agreement to the City West Water Enterprise Agreement.
The ASU has recently learned that GWW interprets the agreement around RDOs differently from what we understood was agreed in a meeting held in December.
As such, we are recommending that members hold off on voting if you have not yet voted. We intend to have clarified the matter before the ballot closes so that you have the opportunity to still have your vote counted.
In this time, the ASU will continue to attempt to resolve the matter so that RDO arrangements are maintained for all ex-Western Water workers.
Whilst we supported the agreement that was made, the current interpretation by GWW is not in line with what we believed we were supporting, so the ASU’s support for the ballot is currently withdrawn.
Please keep your eye on your emails to ensure that you’re aware of when we’ve resolved the issues.
