The ASU has been provided with the consultation pack from Council regarding the Aged and Disability Transition.
Within the pack, Council has provided further detail regarding timeframes and services which must remain in-house because of thin market activity.
The proposed structure was also provided and Council welcomes feedback/suggestions on this. If you have any concerns that you wish the ASU to raise on your behalf, then please reach out to either your ASU delegates or the ASU Contact Centre.
Consultation period closes 29 April.
The ASU has provided feedback to council regarding possible supports which could be provided to assist the workforce in being in the best position to obtain future employment post redundancy.
We requested that council consider making outplacement funding available in both the lead-up and post redundancy date. Council has taken this on notice and committed to come back to the ASU.
Once the structure is confirmed, there will be meetings with impacted employees, we would like to remind you that if you wish to have either an ASU delegate or Organiser attend with you, you are entitled to so please reach out.
