Are you an ASU member that is passionate about campaigning to change government policy?
This year the ASU has been campaigning within your council along with meeting local MP’s to discuss the issues local government workers are facing as a direct result of rate capping.
After our successful training in May, we are putting together another training session for delegates and members who want to help campaign against rate capping. This specialised training focuses on the damage rate capping does to workers and community services followed by a meeting in Parliament with a local MP to hear your stories.
If this is you, please register by emailing Ty Lockwood at tlockwood@asuvictas.com.au to reserve your place and complete the training form to become part of the ASU Uncap our Councils campaign training.
You can download the training form here.
Even if you are unable to attend the training, you can be part of our Campaign Committee. You can RSVP to the next meeting at 12 noon on Thursday 9 June: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIpdumorD8iH9bra8tT4N1wUL8rBje0KO4c
