TasWater has initiated consultation with employees and the ASU in relation to changes to the reporting arrangements.

The majority of TasWater’s proposed changes relate to whole departments or teams moving into other divisions. TasWater proposes these changes will take effect from 1 July 2019.  The proposed changes to reporting arrangements will effect the following Departments and teams:

  • Water System Optimisation
  • Sewerage System Optimisation
  • System Performance and Productivity
  • Corporate Environmental Licence Program
  • Procurement Services
  • Transactional Services
  • Fleet
  • Facilities
  • Customer Services

While TasWater says there will be no changes to duties or terms and conditions, it will certainly impact some employees with a change of reporting arrangements as well as changed seating arrangements.  The ASU will ensure that TasWater is kept accountable and follows the correct consultation processes.

Employees have been asked to provide formal feedback on the proposed changes by cob Friday 4 May.
