Along with strongly urging you to Vote NO to management’s EA offer, the ASU encourages you to start implementing (from tomorrow) phase 3 of the Protected Industrial Actions.

The ASU has advised TasWater’s CEO that ASU members will start implementing these new actions from Thursday 11 November 2021. CEPU and other unions members are also implementing phase 3.

The actions are:

  • The imposition of a ban for a specified period, including indefinitely, on working rostered shifts on weekends.
  • Periodic 15-minute stoppages of work.
  • Indefinite or periodic bans on the use of work vehicles between 8:00am – 8:15am and 2:30pm – 2:45pm.
  • The imposition of a ban for a specified period, including indefinitely, on working outside the employee’s normal geographical area.
  • The imposition of a ban for a specified period, including indefinitely on the use of on-call phones between 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • The imposition of a ban for a specified period, including indefinitely, on the performance of overtime between 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • The imposition of a ban for a specified period, including indefinitely, on call-backs between 4:30pm and 6:30pm.
  • The imposition of a ban for a specified period, including indefinitely, on working on public holidays.
