Recently TasWater initiated consultation with ASU in relation to two preliminary decisions which will have impacts on some employees.
The first preliminary decision relates to proposed changes to the Customer Advocacy Team.
TasWater is considering combining the Customer Advocacy positions and the Quality training positions into new “Case Management and Training Officer” positions, resulting in a reduction of five positions in the team to four, and a re-evaluation for the new positions to band 5.
The other preliminary decision relates to a Departmental Restructure in the Procurement Services Department. While there will be no terminations or redundancies there will be updated position descriptions, increases in GEA level classifications and a number of new positions created.
The ASU will ensure that TasWater follows the correct consultation process, takes into account our members’ feedback and answers any concerns either directly provided by employees or via the ASU.
