ASU officials and workplace delegates have heard members’ feedback on the slow progress of your new EA.

We wrote to council about this on 3 May – and shared this with members in a newsletter here.

Council responded on 11 May with little detail about how they would meet their obligations – see here.

Last week meeting 38 was held on the general provisions to be covered in EA11, and unfortunately, there is little progress to report back from that meeting.

As a result of this pace of progress and other concerns, the ASU applied to the Fair Work Commission yesterday to seek bargaining orders that council bargain in good faith. We will keep members updated.

Appendix Update
We spent the previous couple of weeks progressing appendices. There was some progress in a number of these discussions, to address anomalies in workgroups or progress various claims. We have asked for and await updated records of this appendix work to be provided – to ensure records are in line with what was discussed, before confirming the status of these with members.

We’re stronger when we’re united. Talk to a co-worker today about joining the union – it’s easy for anyone to join online at www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
