The Australian Services Union invites members and staff of STAR Health employed at Inkerman Street, Fitzroy Street and Mitford Street sites to an important meeting.

After very little consultation with affected staff, STAR Health made the decision to relocate Inkerman Street based services to the already operational Mitford Street site and the newly completed Fitzroy Street site. Mitford Street based services have been largely relocated to Fitzroy Street. Whilst the move from Inkerman Street may have been unavoidable due to various building related issues, ASU members and delegates have remained clear that they want to be better consulted. Members want to have input into how to limit the major changes the move and associated operational changes will have on:

  • their work environment,
  • their conditions and
  • their capacity to do their jobs, related to issues of accessibility and potential outcomes for clients and service users of impacted program areas.

The ASU office and workplace delegates and members have been consulting with, and have met with STAR Health management about the impacts of these changes.  Please join us to discuss what we have achieved so far, further details around the changes and to have your say. The ASU will then be responding to management on behalf of impacted members.

DATE: Thursday 10 January
TIME: 3pm-4pm
VENUE: Mitford Street, Cottage Meeting Room
