On Thursday next week, 10 January 2019, the ASU will be meeting with your CEO, Ross Byrne, to discuss the renegotiation of the Trainers’ Enterprise Agreement which is due to expire on 4 February this year.
Ross is keen to hear what the Trainers want to do with their current EA and has floated a number of his own ideas including an option of cancelling the EA and going back to the Award. The ASU is strongly of the opinion that an Enterprise Agreement provides many benefits over the underlying Award and we want to ensure that the Agreement is renegotiated this year and that improvements are made.
The ASU is currently looking for urgent responses to our survey from any and all of the Trainers at St John Ambulance from across Tasmania; permanent, casual and fixed term. Whether the Trainers are members of the ASU, HACSU or no union at all, we want to hear from them all. The survey only takes 5 minutes to complete.
If you are employed as a Trainer, please complete our survey now: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/StJohnTrainers
If you are not covered by this particular agreement but you can send this email to someone who is, please do so as soon as possible.
The responses to our survey will assist us to formulate a log of claims for any future negotiations and will help to shape the conversation we have with Ross next week so it is hugely important that Trainers complete this survey ASAP.
