The ASU has been advised that Spirit Super (previously Tasplan) was the victim of a phishing scam and a data breach of their records has occurred. This impacts some members who had superannuation accounts with Tasplan in 2019 or 2020.
Details including names, contact details as well as account numbers and balances for some 50,000 members may have been compromised.
Spirit Super has taken actions to notify all affected members and it is important to know that you will have received an email, SMS or letter from Spirit Super about this incident if you were affected by this breach.
