Special tour of Victorian Trades Hall Council restoration works for ASU at 4pm on 12 February. This is a special RSVP only event, and a must do for any ASU member who loves labour history or building heritage.

Early in 2018 work commenced on site at Trades Hall for the Living Heritage Project.  With the expert assistance of Architects and heritage consultants Lovell Chen, VTHC is restoring the building to bring it back to life. Attend the tour with the builders and architects and witness some of the beautiful discoveries of our Victorian labour movement’s history.

Victorian Trades Hall has had many additions and changes since its beginnings in the 1859, however, it remains the oldest continuously working Trades Hall building in the world. The building is classified by the National Trust and is included on the register of Historic Buildings (Victoria).
