To celebrate International Women’s Day 2021 the ASU has purchased tickets for a special screening of the Australian documentary ‘Women of Steel’.

This documentary tells the inspiring story of how a group of women in 1980, after being told “there’s no jobs for women”, campaigned for years against BHP in order to achieve equality in the workplace. Their battle changed the rules!

The Deputy Lord Mayor and Lord Mayor of City of Hobart are hosting this event.

DATE: Wednesday 10 March
TIME: 6pm
VENUE: State Cinema Hobart

There will also be a Q&A with Lou-Anne Barker who is one of the stars of the film and refreshments are provided.

We have 10 tickets to give away to ASU members on a first in basis.

To grab your ticket, please contact ASU Organiser Karen Tantari via ktantari@asuvictas.com.au or on 0472 512 484 ASAP.
