Consultation has commenced around the proposed restructure of the Customer and Community Group, and we have serious concerns about the proposal.
You may recall that we recently wrote to South East Water management after it was rumoured there would be a ‘spill and fill’ process, in which many staff would need to reapply for their own positions.
Management wrote back stating that “we can confirm that where a role continues to exist and has not changed, the incumbent would not need to reapply for their role”. Strictly speaking, this is correct, but it appears that they have made token changes to a large number of Customer Service, Customer Account, and Credit Officer roles in order to claim that they have changed.
It also appears that there are fewer of these roles in the new structure, and that some existing staff will miss out.
