The Andrews Labor Government is investigating the sale or part-privatisation of VicRoads’ Registration and Licensing.
Privatisation leads to higher costs, lower wages and even sackings.
And with privatised services the public experiences and longer wait times and higher costs.
But our opposition to the privatisation of the essential services that you provide at VicRoads is being heard.
Over the last few weeks, newspapers from across Victoria have published our concern with the sale or part-privatisation of VicRoads. This hasn’t only been in Melbourne. Our opposition has been heard from Horsham in the west, Shepparton in the north and as far as Sale in the east.
ASU delegates have lobbied members of parliament and even visited Parliament House to talk about the work of ASU members at VicRoads.
You can play a part in the campaign to oppose the privatisation of VicRoads.
Whether it’s writing a letter to a member of parliament or talking to your friends and neighbours about the importance of keeping VicRoads in public hands, there is a part you can play in our campaign.
