We’re excited to be able to once again host our quarterly members’ meetings in each region of Tasmania.
Attendees at each event will go into the draw to win a $50 fuel voucher.
Please RSVP here as soon as possible to secure your spot at our events.
LAUNCESTON – Gunners Arms Hotel
22 June 2022 – 5:30pm
Hear from Delegates at Statewide Independent Wholesalers in Launceston who sustained multiple no votes with remarkably high voting rates.
They won their campaign for good pay rises and improved conditions. You’ll hear how they resolve members’ issues and include them in outcomes.
BURNIE – Burnie Central Townhouse Hotel
23 June 2022 – 5:30pm
Hear from Wally Moszco, a worker of 24 years with Simplot.
Wally was unfairly dismissed, twice won his case for reinstatement in the Fair Work Commission, only to be stood down once again.
Wally will outline what it took to get back to work.
HOBART – Unions Tasmania
30 June 2022 – 5:30pm
Hear from workers on the floor at Cadbury’s chocolate factory. These workers were given just 6 days of sick leave per year by their boss, instead of the 10 days required by law.
These workers will share the story of how their case got all the way to the High Court.
Light food and drinks will be provided at each event.
Meet your ASU Organisers and chat about any issues you may be facing at work. These events are also a great networking opportunity, and a chance to meet members from other employers, sectors and industries.
Once again, don’t forget to register your attendance so we know to expect you on the night.
