The ASU has now made 4 submissions to the Royal Commission into Aged Care – the last submission made at the end of August.

These submissions are important because they make sure the voices of workers are heard as part of policy development, particularly the unique perspective of members within Local Government – an important public service.

The first submission can be access here. The subsequent submissions are yet to be made public, but when they are they can be viewed here.

Survey Summaries
Surveys completed by members and delegates have been integral to this work.

  • Our ‘Care Under COVID-19’ survey had 407 participants and our ‘Snap Aged Care and Disability survey for members’ had 526 responses! A summary of these surveys can be found here.
  • Our ‘Snap Aged Care and Disability Survey for delegates’ had 42 responses and was anecdotal in nature so there is no summary provided.

Your work as delegates is important at this time. And we thank you for your active participation to defend aged care at this moment.

With the ASU by your side, if you don’t fight you don’t win. Tell your colleagues about the important work the union is doing with you.
