The ASU takes the mental health of workers seriously.
A number of members and delegates have spoken with the union about their concerns, and have expressed their interest in campaigning for better mental health support and protection at work.
As a first step, the ASU is conducting a survey to gather data that will provide the basis for our campaigns and advocacy in this area. We have had a great response to the survey so far, and ask that anybody who hasn’t already completed our survey takes the time to do so.
All local government workers are encouraged to participate and can access our survey via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XWRC8GG or by scanning the QR code.
Our survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Any results will be completely anonymous and no personal or identifying details will ever be published or disclosed.
Please feel free to share this survey within your workplace and encourage your colleagues to participate.
If you are – or anybody you know is – struggling with mental health, please reach out and seek help. A great place to start is by calling Lifeline on 13 11 14 or access your employer-provided Employee Assistance Program.
