The ASU knows that change can be stressful and that the antidote is clear and transparent communication. With that in mind, your ASU Delegate and Organiser met with Rachel Morison, Our Watch HR, today to discuss the ongoing structural change in your workplace.

After detailed and collaborative discussions, we believe that we now have more of a grasp on what each phase of the change involves and how it impacts ASU members at Our Watch.

The main points that we took away from the meeting are:

  • The consultation with the wider staff group wraps up this week, with changes to be implemented beginning January 1;
  • Impacted staff will receive (or have already received) a summary of changes to their roles and reporting arrangements, as well as a copy of the new org structure; and
  • The next phase involves formal PD reviews for each individual, with the aim of making as many roles permanent as possible. This is to begin in February.

One concern that remains for the ASU is that there may be some members whose roles have changed entirely, but who have not yet been provided with a positions description. If this applies to you and you need support to get clarity on your role (or your rights), reach out on the details below.
