There’s never any excuse for wage theft. The ASU, together with the TWU and FAAA took Qantas to court as they are incorrectly applying JobKeeper and delaying the payment of shift penalties and overtime.

That didn’t fly with us or our members. The Federal Court has just handed down their decision and we won! We are now calling for Qantas to accept the court’s decision and back-pay all underpaid employees. There is never any excuse for wage theft.

The need to repair and maintain vital infrastructure never stops, and neither do members of the ASU.

Like members of our union right across Victoria and Tasmania, Ben and Jake at Ballarat City Council have been out doing vital repairs while keeping safe.

Ben works on keeping footpaths and drains up to scratch and Jake, who usually works in road maintenance, was giving him a hand.

Thank you them and to everyone else who is out keeping our footpaths, roads and drains safe and operational.
