We last met with management on Thursday 1 July 2021. At that meeting, we failed to reach agreement and the next agreed steps were for Council to provide a copy of the updated draft enterprise agreement incorporating agreed changes.
On July 20 Amanda Wilson advised the unions via email that the draft EBA document with updated clauses would be distributed shortly for our review. To date (2 weeks later and almost 5 weeks from the last meeting) we are yet to receive a copy of the draft.
We have written to the CEO to try and find out when we will be able to get a copy of the agreement and when you will get the opportunity to vote this insulting offer down.
To recap – the offer is 1.2% or $20 per week for the first 2 years and 1.5% or $20 per week for the last 2 years.
Other Shire Councils are getting much better offers than you:
- Yarriambiack SC – 1.95% or $25 per week for 3 years
- Moira SC – 2% or $26 (first year), 1.5% or $26 (second year) & 1.75% or $28 (third year)
- Moorabool Shire Council – $27.50 per week
- Corangamite Shire Council – 2% or $27.50 per week
We will let you know when we get a response. We are stronger when we are united.
