Following feedback from the ASU regarding continuing to pursue the dollar amount figure as well as a percentage increase council have come back to the table with the following wages offer.

First instalment
Salary rates will be adjusted 1.5%, 80% of the Rate Cap or $20.50 per week, whichever is higher, on the first pay period commencing on 1st July 2021.

Salary rates will be back paid to Jan 1, 2021.

Second instalment
Salary rates will be adjusted 1.5%, 80% of Rate Cap or $20.50 per week, whichever is higher, on the first pay period commencing on or after July 1, 2022.

Third instalment
Salary rates will be adjusted 1.5%, 80% of Rate Cap or $20.50 per week, whichever is higher, on the first pay period commencing on or after July 1, 2023.

What this translates to is that members who are on bands 1 to 4 would benefit from the dollar amount increase of $20.50 as this works out to be higher than the 1.5% on their current salary.

Council has also backed down on pursuing performance-based pay increases. This is a great win!
