The Australian Services Union will be holding a meeting to discuss Mornington Shire Council’s proposal to tender out all new clients this year.

DATE: Tuesday 2 June
TIME: 2.00pm
MEETING LINK: Join Microsoft Teams Meeting

If you are unable to join us via teams, please contact ASU Organiser Darren Dwyer via the details below so we can make other options available.

Council’s intention is to make all your future work available to a new provider.

Council have told us there will be no capacity for employees to choose to be transferred. Your work at Council will almost certainly come to an end over the course of the next two years.

  • Do you know if you will be eligible for a redundancy?
  • How will the employer determine who will be eligible for redundancy and when?
  • Would you prefer to transfer to the new employer?

The ASU has requested that we have the opportunity to meet with all staff at your team meetings, this opportunity has not been provided.

We hope to hold further meetings with all staff, but this could be your last opportunity to provide us with your views. Council needs to hear what you want, and your union’s job is to advocate for you.
