The ASU concluded a round of update meetings last week, providing a detailed overview of the improvements we have secured through the negotiations.

The meeting purpose was to understand if members were happy with the current offer. We understand that not all members could attend a meeting so we’ve created a short survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/22D2DKZ
The wage offer is as follows;
1st year- 1.5% with backpay for 6 months (backpay only applicable if we reach agreement prior to the end of this financial year)
2nd year- 1.5% or 80% of the rate cap amount, whichever is greater.
3rd year- 1.5% or 80% of the rate cap amount, whichever is greater.
The overwhelming feedback at our meetings indicated that members want a flat dollar amount included.
We went back to Council and advised that members were still pursing this item and advised of a $30 amount to be included.
Council is considering this and will respond to us next week.
It’s important to note that we sought clarification on Council’s log item of linking increment increases to performance, Council indicated they’re still wanting to pursue this. We made it abundantly clear that members would not support this, this is a widely felt position and Council should reconsider their position. They will provide their position to this next week.
We have now started drafting the document to amend agreed clauses, indicating that we are near completion!
