Last month Council tabled a draft agreement which removed standby allowance, reduced some penalty rates and reduced job security for some workers. Over the last month ASU members have stood up for a fair deal and taken industrial action. Your ASU Delegates and Officials have been in intensive negotiations on your behalf.
Council have now reversed those proposed changes and have put a slightly improved pay offer on the table.
- Backpay (2020-2021) 1.6% *conditional on a first YES vote not later than 30/6/21
- Year 1 (2021-2022) 1.5%
- Year 2 (2022-2023) 1.4% minimum OR 80% of the rate cap (whichever is higher)
Whilst it is an improvement, this offer is still less than cost of living increases.
