Moonee Valley members met over a series of six meetings last week to provide in principle endorsement to the core of the enterprise agreement.

The enterprise agreement will provide members with a $25.07 pay increase this year, paid pandemic leave, secure transfer of business rights to a redundancy and much, much more.

Members overwhelmingly voted to endorse the agreement.

The ASU Negotiating Team will be finalising the drafting of this agreement and will provide you with a copy of the full agreement by the end of this week.

While we have reached in principle agreement on the core agreement, there are outstanding issues in the Library Schedule and Community Strengthening Schedule.

These are issues relating to the span of hours for library staff and the hours of work that aged care workers are required to be available to work. The ASU will not provide final agreement until these issues are resolved in a way that does not disadvantage members.

Once finalised, the enterprise agreement will be shared with the MVCC workforce for formal endorsement. All workers at MVCC will vote on the enterprise agreement in early December.

More details will be shared with members about this process as soon as possible.
