Yesterday the Premier announced that Metro Melbourne is now in the Second Step and that 127,000 workers would be returning to work.
At this stage, we have little detail on how that will affect local government workers, except for early childhood learning and leisure.
From today, Early Childhood Learning Centres will open for all children and outdoor pools will open.
The following continues to apply for all workers:
- Where you can work from home, you should continue to work from home.
- Workplaces that have staff working onsite or outside of the home must have a COVIDSafe plan.
- If you are working outside of the home your employer must issue you with a permit.
If you are asked to return to the workplace and have any concerns please speak to your Health & Safety Representative, an ASU Delegate or contact the ASU Member Contact Centre on firstname.lastname@example.org
