ASU representatives attended a “without prejudice” enterprise agreement meeting on March 31. Merri Health has put forward some proposals to the union. You can download those proposals here.
The ASU has organised an online meeting through Zoom for all members to attend.
DATE: Wednesday 28 April
TIME: 12.30pm – 1.30pm
REGISTRATION LINK: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYtdOmurzkrGd2xofoPkIcw_c0LdgGyDArN
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
It is important for all members to attend this online meeting, so the ASU and your delegate group can get some direction on these proposals.
We still have a long way to go, so speak to your ASU Organiser and encourage non-members to join the ASU, who are fighting hard for everyone. It’s easy for anyone to join online at www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
Please circulate this newsletter by email to all other staff members and put it on your notice boards and in your lunchrooms.
The log is drafted in the format of a preliminary settlement proposal. Merri Health has indicated they would like a transparent and relatively quick bargaining process (if possible) to ensure that employees can receive the benefits as soon as possible. Given that the proposal is structured as a “total package”, Merri Health reserve the right to amend their claims where the union or representatives wish to pursue additional claims.
We will go through each of the claims in tomorrow’s meeting to provide additional clarification where needed.
