The ASU has had a major victory for Aerocare/Swissport aviation workers today, with the FWC agreeing with us that the substandard Aerocare Agreement should never have been approved.
We’ve said from the beginning this agreement is not fair for workers. Aviation workers are doing it tough and deserve a better deal than what Swissport tried to give them.
This is a great win for Swissport employees who deserve the same pay and conditions as their colleagues at other ground handlers and airlines.
And it is an important win for all workers in the Aviation industry, protecting our hard won wages and conditions across the industry. #byyourside ... See MoreSee Less

Only a licensed plumber can hook up a gas stove and only a registered union like the ASU has legal rights to enter a workplace.
Last week an employee of Brimbank City Council attempted to stop ASU organiser Will Wyatt from entering the depot.
But because Will works for a registered union and holds a Right of Entry Permit, the Council soon apologised and backed down.
Will was going to the depot to talk about Stage 4 Restrictions, a super important thing for every worker in Melbourne right now
If Will had been employed by a footy club or any other kind of association that is not a Registered Organisation, he’d still be standing outside the gate.
Only the ASU has the legal right to be by your side in your workplace when things get serious ... See MoreSee Less
That’s funny because when I worked for a council and needed help, the ASU rep told me I needed to get permission from HR before he could enter the premises! Because HR obviously said no, I wasn’t well represented and things didn’t end well
Not just asu but any union
