The Victorian Government is looking to develop its emissions target for 2035, and the ASU is seeking member contributions to inform our submission.

ASU members understand our communities better than anyone— and that’s why we think we’re well placed to develop a submission that highlights the benefits of reducing emissions, demonstrates how this should be done in different industries, and shows the importance of doing so fairly for workers.

We’re inviting you to join our consultation on Friday 13 May at 1pm to ensure our engagement reflects your views— as a worker in the community, but also as a Victorian.

We want to know what emission reduction strategies should be in place at your workplace, and what potential challenges you anticipate arising in this process. Equally, we’re looking to highlight the benefits of reducing emissions— and the consequences of not doing enough.

It’s important that ASU member voices are heard for a just transition to net-zero. This is your chance to contribute to Victoria’s climate strategy.

In unity,
Lisa Darmanin
