Your ASU Delegates Jo, Matt and Tashi attended training on Tuesday 3 October for the Employee Consultative Committee.
We, and Darren Cunningham, will be representing your interests in the Employee Consultative Committee (ECC), which has been established through the recent Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
The purpose of the ECC is to provide a forum in which employee representatives, union employee representatives and management can discuss matters affecting employees.
In the coming year, we will be discussing:
- Matters that were not resolved during the EBA
- Training, development, career opportunities and job security
- Productivity and continuous improvement
- Council policies that impact employment and working conditions
Many of the items that we’ll discuss at these meetings are matters that you raised as being important when we were negotiating the recently approved EBA.
