CONSOLIDATED PAY CHANGES
In an outrageous attack on Melbourne Water workers, Management are attempting to slash the wages of staff in Water Supply who are on Consolidate Pay arrangements. With just six months remaining on the current Enterprise Agreement, Melbourne Water have sought to pre-empt bargaining by abolishing the consolidate pay arrangements.
For our members, this will mean a loss of between $5000-$15,000 per year. Meanwhile, the Melbourne Water annual report details how 12 executive officers received total package increases averaging 8.8% last year. The senior ranks at Melbourne Water are lining their own pockets, and the workers are paying for it!
The Union has written to management seeking that they immediately scrap their plans to dump the consolidated pay arrangements, and ask that they commence bargaining for a new agreement (see attached letter).
Make no mistake, the Union will fight this injustice every step of the way.

Your Melbourne Water Enterprise Agreement is set to expire in mid 2019. It is time to start thinking about what changes you’d like to see in the Agreement, and to consider if you’d like to become involved.
