One of the most outrageous things we have heard this year is that one of your bosses, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Melbourne, thinks you need to “kick off the doona and get back to work”.

You can read Deputy Maror Nick Reese’s outrageous comments here:

We know that working from home is work. No one on a work from home arrangement is being paid to sleep under a doona!

ASU members kept our city running during the Covid global pandemic.  The city is best placed for post-covid recovery because of the work ASU members have done and continue to do within our city.

We are proud to be by your side and together we are campaigning for a well-deserved pay rise and improved conditions – including a strong work from home clause. Running a home office can be costly and it can disrupt home life.  We call on the City to respect that.

Chat to a workmate who is not yet a member of our union about the Deputy Mayor’s outrageous attitude and the importance of joining the ASU today.
