Recently so many ASU members who work in community care wanted to attend a mass meeting we had to hold a second one!

The mass meeting brought together community care workers from across the state to discuss, among other things, the implications of the final report of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

But so many members wanted to attend this online meeting –  from Mildura to the Latrobe Valley and everywhere in between  – that we hit the limit of the online meeting service.

So on short notice, we arranged another meeting and got dozens of members who were unable to attend the first meeting.

The dedication of community carers to their clients is a sight to see.

And their commitment to the collective interest of ASU members who deliver essential community care service to older Victorians is an inspiration.
