Notice of Employee Representational Rights
Members may have seen that MacKillop has distributed the ‘Notice of Employee Representational Rights. This means we are formally commencing bargaining for a new Enterprise Agreement (EA).
ASU members don’t need to take any action on this notice. You are automatically represented by the ASU. Your bargaining team for the negotiations is made up of elected union delegates and your ASU organisers.
Delegates and Contacts Needed
The strength of our ability to bargain for the best EA comes from a strong, dedicated, and trained group of elected ASU delegates from across our MacKillop membership. There are significant gaps in delegate coverage across MacKillop and you may not be represented at your site or in your workgroup.
ASU delegates are well supported and are entitled to access training to help develop skills and confidence to perform the role. We are calling for members to nominate and get involved to ensure a good coverage to help communication across the organisation during bargaining and into the future.
Log of Claims
The ASU surveyed Mackillop members to develop a draft Log of Claims (LOC) for EA negotiations. You can view the Log of Claims here. We now require member endorsement of the final LOC. It is important that you take the time to have your say.

Want to get the best outcomes possible in your EA?
- When union meetings are on, encourage other members to come to the meeting with you
- Pass this on to a non-member and ask them to join the ASU via asu.asn.au/asujoin
