The enterprise agreement access period starts Friday 8 July. This is your chance to have a look at the enterprise agreement, your union delegates and officials have been working on for months. Unfortunately, this final enterprise agreement offer being put to vote is not agreed on, as it does not meet the standards that you unanimously voted for at our member meetings last week. That is why it is vital that you send a message to Council and Vote No!

We have made some improvements but the pay increase is not good enough:

No movement on the pay offer – despite a very conservative counter offer being put on the table by ASU members of Option 1

  • 5-year agreement (preferred)
  • Year 1, 1.75% or $20 whichever is the greater Year 2, 2.5% or $20 or 80% of the rate cap whichever is the greater. Homecare to receive travel from their last job to home

  • Option 2, 3.5-year agreement
  • Year 1, 1.75% or $20 whichever is the greater Year 2, 2.5% or $20 or 80% of the rate cap whichever is the greater Year 3, 3% or $25 or 80% of the rate cap whichever is the greater. Homecare to receive travel from their last job to home

  •  Council have rejected it and stuck to their offer of year 1 – 1.5% or $20.00 per week, whichever is greater.
  • Increase for year 2 – 1.5% or $20.00 per week or 80% of the gazetted Local Government rate cap whichever is greater.
  • Increase for year 3 – 1.5% or $20.00 per week or 80% of the gazetted Local Government rate cap whichever is greater.

It is really important you take the time to vote and clearly select the NO box. It is also critical to talk to other staff in your area about why it is important that they vote No. Every staff member gets a vote, not just members of the ASU. We can’t begin to try to turn this around without at least 50% of votes against the offer.

VOTE TODAY AND VOTE NO.
