The access period to review management’s latest enterprise agreement offer has concluded and voting has commenced. The ASU told management this offer is sub-standard, but they put it to vote. Now is your chance to send them a message.
Latrobe City Council insisted their financial burdens were too great to be able to give you a sustainable wage increase. What about your financial burdens?
With fuel prices skyrocketing, CPI hovering around 3% and every other life-related cost going through the roof, why should you effectively take a pay cut?
You’ve told us you are insulted by Latrobe City’s current wage offer. Now it’s time to tell them!
Voting opened today, let’s send them back to the negotiating table and vote NO!
This current offer tabled by Latrobe City is by far the worst in the state of Victoria. They have given all kinds of reasons why, but why do workers have to foot the bill? We suggested Latrobe should apply for an exemption of the rate cap to give you a decent pay rise but they didn’t even apply.
It is important that ALL ASU members take the time to vote NO.
Every staff member gets a vote, not just ASU members, so talk to the people you work with and explain why they should vote no to this offer too. We need to send management back to the bargaining table to get a better pay offer for everyone.
Together we are stronger. Ask a co-worker to join the ASU at: www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
