We know that you and your workmates are working hard to keep delivering services to your community.

It is time for your employer to respect your effort and the best way to do this is resume negotiations.

We met with members in February and presented your claims to the bargaining committee in March.

Cardinia management made an offer and then withdrew it less than two days later. This is unfair. After six meetings we still do not have an Agreement.

The ASU has written to your CEO to restart negotiations. You can read a copy of this letter here.

Management presented the budget to Council last week. It is now time to discuss how much money will be invested in you as the workers who deliver to the community. Your employer has choices to make and you have a right to be represented.

If your CEO agrees to meet then we will advocate for a better outcome. If your CEO refuses then we will seek assistance from the Fair Work Commission (FWC). The ASU also has support for this approach from the other Unions at the bargaining table (ANMF and Professionals Australia).

As always, the ASU is by your side, ASU members deserve better than this, and we will fight to enforce your right to bargain.

Don’t forget the ASU recruitment competition is underway until September, $500 is up for grabs for the member who recruits the most new people.
