Your ASU Delegates and Organiser recently met with Human Resources.
This meeting was to discuss the supports in place for you during the current confronting and challenging situation due to the pandemic. We also discussed the state of play concerning the Enterprise Agreement (EA) Bargaining negotiations.
The ASU is pleased to confirm that a key claim that was on the table: the option to take all available parental leave entitlements upfront is now available upon request.
Please note: the current situation where only a portion of Parental Leave can be taken at the beginning of parental leave then the balance available upon return can still apply if the member chooses this option.
This is a win for members and bodes well as we seek to finalise discussion in 2021!
A more detailed newsletter will be sent very shortly, however, in the interim the ASU can confirm that EA negotiations are on hold and will be activated again February 2021.
